Groves & her World Jazz Folk Fusion Ensemble, Natalia & Montuno (with
Kurt Walther and Tony Cook the former guitarist for Ottawa's Octavian), Shot in
the Dark Ross Paul MacCrae's Spectacular New Classic Rock Group (Ross was Les
Emmerson's hot Guitar player in the Hitmen for more than 10 years), also Jazz
/Blues Combo, Brown, Grooves & Reyes, Capital B and the Lyin' Bastards
(With Steve Lund from Mumbo Jumbo Voodoo Combo as special Guest Percussionist)
and to complete this fantastic night, Jed (The Rocket) Rached and his Fat City

Also: Zeek Gross (highly-respected former Sax player for the Tony D Band) will attend towards the end of the evening as well as other great Sax players like Bob Johnson and Brad Summerfield, Rick Rango Trumpet and possibly, if his schedule allows, a special appearance by Johnny Vegas (Mike’s younger brother).

Brian
has organized this benefit because Mike Allan MacDonald has been his friend for
forty years. Back in '71 & '72, they toured in a band called Mapleridge and
played the NAC together when it was brand new.
Mike lost his liver function after receiving the wrong meds from a
doctor while on a comedy tour. He's now back in Ottawa, in desperate need of a
liver donor to provide him a chance to live.
Brian hopes that these benefits will do more than raise just money … that
they will keep Mike’s plight in the public eye and increase his chances of
getting a suitable donor (Type 'O' negative).
Steve's
Music Store Ottawa & St. John's Music Store have each contributed two $50
Gift Certificates to be raffled, and at each venue there will be a Door Prize draw
for five 11 x 17 inch full colour posters which have been personally
autographed by Mike MacDonald.

who is unable to attend but wishes to help Mike by making a contribution may
