OTTAWA MAYOR JIM WATSON DECLARES JUNE 21 "MIKE MacDONALD DAY"

I am so very pleased and proud to let you know that Mayor Jim Watson has proclaimed Thursday, June 21st, 2012, as Mike MacDonald Day here in Ottawa. A big thanks goes out to Brookfield High School alumnus, and Mike's friend, Chris Johnston, who spearheaded the request to the city to recognize Mike's contributions to Canadian Comedy and his current battle with hepatitis C.

Not only are funds for medical expenses needed, but a liver transplant, as well.

Wednesday, June 20 - Laugh Factory Hollywood, Sunset Boulevard, Los Angeles, CA

Thursday, June 21 (Mike's birthday) - Yuk Yuks, Elgin Street, Ottawa, ON

Monday, June 25 (early show from 7-11 p.m.) - Rainbow Bistro, Murray Street, Ottawa, ON


(A previous benefit took place at the Elmdale House Tavern in Ottawa on June 3 and additional fundraisers are being scheduled at Absolute Comedy on Preston Street, also in Ottawa.)
