ANDERS OSBORNE COMING TO NYC & ANAPOLIS NEXT WEEK (APR. 14)

Anders Osborne will be making a rare East Coast run next week (Apr. 14-19). He will also be appearing twice at the New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Music Festival next month..

M.C. Records released New Orleans sensation Anders Osborne's first CD, Coming Down, in five years on Sept. 25, 2007. It is a beautiful testament to his adoptive home of New Orleans and his wife. Recorded in Nashville and New Orleans, the record was co-produced by Anders and Troy Verges (BMI country songwriter of the year).
The 41-year-old Swedish native has played a leading in role in trying to convince other musicians who left New Orleans to come back. Anders and his family came back six weeks after [Hurricane] Katrina.
“He’s created one of the best albums of the year”, Paste Magazine's Andy Whitman
Coming Down is the best singer-songwriter disc I've heard this year, and the best collection of songs Osborne has assembled. His laid-back passion only adds to the overall excellence.” Norwalk Advocate

On June 10, M.C. Records will be releasing R.L. Burnside's Acoustic Stories on 180 gram vinyl.
This collection of stripped-down blues of the bare-handed variety remains one of our most popular releases. It was recorded in 1988 at the height of R.L.'s powers. These all-acoustic tunes were recorded in one or two takes live in the studio with that immediacy and baldness to give it an authenticity to the listening experience not often found these days. These are the real tangled roots, off rhythms and winding sung and spoken stories of the Delta played by a master. Acoustic Stories is a W.C. Handy award nominee.
