OTTAWA WORLD WORLD II VET DONALD PURDY PASSES ON AT 96

PURDY: DONALD STEPHENS (Veteran of WWII – D-Day; and Longtime member of St. David & St. Martin Presbyterian Church – but never in the choir) Peacefully on Sat., Nov., 20/10, at the age of 96, at the Montfort Hospital, Ottawa. Beloved husband of Ruth (nee Freeman). Loving father of Patricia Betcher (Robert),and Richard Purdy (Réjean). Survived by his sister, Iris Berryman, and her son, Donald Berryman, both of Hamilton, ON.

Friends are invited to visit at the St. Laurent Chapel of Hulse, Playfair & McGarry, 1200 Ogilvie Road (at Aviation Pkwy) on Tuesday, November 23, from 6-9 p. m.

The Funeral Service will be held at St. David & St. Martin Presbyterian Church, 444 St. Laurent Blvd, on Thursday, November 25, at 3 p.m. The family wishes to offer their sincere thanks to Joanne Whittle and Tamara Caulifield for their care and compassion.
