Ridgeway Reads Literary Festival
June 1st-3rd Ridgeway Reads celebrates the best of local and internationally recognized
authors of all genres over a three day festival.
The first weekend in June also sees a study and recognition of the Battle of Ridgeway, June 2nd 1866, which propelled Canada into nationhood.
This literary and history gem of a festival takes place in the quaint
village of Ridgeway, close to the shores of Lake Erie.

TIM "TOO SLIM" LANGFORD TO RELEASE SOLO ACOUSTIC BROKEN HALO CD
Hot on the heels of his Blues Music Awards-nominated Shiver CD by his band, Too Slim and the Taildraggers, frontman Tim "Too Slim" Langford will officially release the digital version of his second solo acoustic CD, entitled Broken Halo, on June 19, 2012. His first solo acoustic recording was Pint Store Blues.
Hard copies of the CD are already being sold at live gigs.

UK GUITARIST CHRIS ADAMS - NEVIS RADIO/DYNAMIK RECORDS/NEW WEBSITE
I have had a busy April and May and firstly want to thank Nevis Radio for the opportunity to play at their Band Aid gig in Fort William, Scotland, where I'm currently residing. It was a good gig and good things have come of it.
Since then I have some good things developing for the local area, one of which is a play bus scheme. We are going to fit an ex-BBC courtesy bus with a recording studio and go out into the local community to offer music production training to people in the Fort William area. The scheme has been well received by local decision-makers and is well on the way.
Now that Tree Records and I have gone our separate ways, I have been signed by a new label called DyNaMik Records, which is based in Southern Ireland. DyNaMik has now created a new website for me (see the link below), with some top-notch publicity. I am looking forward to working with DyNaMik and producing material for a new album in the near future.
As well, I have sent a 5-track EP to distributors. The tracks are what I did with Tree Records' Javier Ballester on the Vladimir Vysotsky project. The EP will arrive in stores in a couple of weeks. Details and the tracks can be heard here:

I have formed a band from musicians in my local area, and the live performance situation, including tentative bookings at some really cool festivals, is now on my agenda. Rehearsals are starting very soon, now that I am back from the family holiday in Corfu. Perhaps we will soon be visiting a town near you...we are up for requests.

Wishbone
is Paul's seventh CD (including three with his old band, The Sidemen);
he calls this "music for dancing and sex", and it certainly pushes the
"blues" envelope to new places. Reddick describes Wishbone as "Keith
Richards and Robert Johnson shooting dice with Bob Dylan and Hank
Williams, while Bo Diddley, Leonard Cohen and Charley Patton are
standing watch..."

Camp Myth is a summer camp built to teach young mythological creatures about the cultures and dangers of their amazing world.
Minotaurs, Dryads, Merfolk, Centaurs – you name it! For six weeks,
these children live and work together in order to earn merit badges and
prove their worth to the mythic community.

for Felix, a mischievous Fae with a knack for getting into trouble, camp
means nothing more than a chance to break free from his overprotective
parents and enjoy a few weeks without responsibilities. That is, until a
series of accidents turn camp life upside-down, and some of the other

Ellsworth is an award winning singer-songwriter from Prince Edward
Island — who dramatically moved away from his comfort zone to make his
new album, Dusk Dreams,
in Athens, Georgia. He is now bringing his new songs to Ontario for the
first time, joining Lethbridge-based folk-rocker Leeroy Stagger, whose
seventh album, Radiant Land, is released this week.
Dusk Dreams, a collection of warmly accessible songs, was produced by David Barbe (Drive By Truckers, Cracker), and is the follow-up to Chesterfield Dweller of the Year,
described by Americana UK as "a timeless album, heartfelt and
heart-achingly beautiful." It’s released on the Canadian label Busted
Flat.
In
the past year, Ellsworth has shared the stage with Steve Poltz, Matt
Andersen, Gordie Sampson, Peter Elkas, Willie Nile and British artists

The Sledge Leather debut album “Imagine Me
Alive” was inspired in 2010 when Leather Leone called Sandy Sledge to collaborate on the Ronnie James Dio track “Egypt”for a
demo tribute recording. Due to the
overwhelming response for more material, Sledge Leather was born and were
confirmed for Germany’s Keep it True Festival, April 30,
2011.
Sledge Leather entered the studio in 2011 to
record their comeback album “Imagine Me Alive”, engulfing the listener in an
onslaught of heavy metal with 11 cohesive tracks that resurrects a classic HEAVY
metal sound with Dio's former band members Scott Warren (keyboards), and Jimmy Bain (bass).
