Visiting Artist - Guitarist Bill Dillon

Tuesday, March 20, 2-4 pm, in Room TP11, Mohawk College, Hamilton, ON

Born in Toronto and based in Grimsby, Ancaster, and New Orleans before
now calling Hamilton home is legendary guitarist Bill Dillon.

Dillon has worked with the best: Sarah McLachlan, Counting Crows, The Boomers, Edie Brickell, Chrissie Hynde (of The Pretenders), Robbie Robertson, Joni Mitchell, Daniel Lanois, Counting Crows…too many to include in a single mini-bio.

"What he does on guitar is what a synthesizer would do. He puts a shimmer in guitar. Sometimes it's not even recognizable as a guitar", states Bob Doidge of Grant Avenue Studio.

"He's probably one of the most instinctive musicians I know", says Ian Thomas. "He has complete control of his instrument. He's not content to play a part he might have heard. When Bill Dillon plays, he has his own sense of composition."

'Nuff said.
