CBC TAPING OF JULIAN FAUTH AT THE DAKOTA TAVERN – MOVED TO JUNE 13
As announced last week, there was a scheduling mix up regarding the Dakota Tavern concert by JULIAN FAUTH for a taping of Canada Live by CBC Radio. The new date is Saturday June 13, 7:00 to 10:00 PM. Luckily, everyone who ordered advance tickets was able to switch the dates.
The Dakota only holds a limited number of people, and a large percentage of tickets have already been reserved. So to order tickets in advance, email wexfordmusic@gmail.com.
NEW VIDEO OF JULIAN FAUTH ONLINE
MAKO FUNASAKA recently posted the latest episode of the Talkin' Blues Video Podcast featuring Julian performing "Roll On In". This video was shot during the recording of his "Ramblin' Son" CD. JULIAN FAUTH AND DAVID ROTUNDO TO OPEN FOR JOHNNY WINTER
DAVID ROTUNDO set this up. The legendary JOHNNY WINTER will be performing at Peter’s Players in Muskoka on August 22, and David booked the opening act as a duo with Julian. Nice, eh? Great show in cottage country. Information and tickets can be obtained at http://www.petersplayers.com/.
I understand that tickets for the show are already almost sold out. But call anyway. You never know. If demand is strong enough they may put on another show on Sunday.
Anybody who has heard Julian and David play together will attest that that they are one of the most dynamic duos in the blues. They will also be playing the Harvest Jazz and Blues Festival in Fredericton in September.
JULIAN FAUTH ON THE RADIO
During the past two weeks JULIAN FAUTH’s music has been featured on:
The Songwriters, hosted by Terry Parsons on CHMR FM in St. John’s Newfoundland, Sunday, May 17. The show featured interviews WITH Julian and a wide selection of his music.
Fresh Air, hosted by Mary Ito, on CBC Radio, Saturdays and Sundays from 6:00 to 9:00 AM, 99.1 FM in Toronto, and other frequencies across Canada. http://www.cbc.ca/freshair
Breakfast with the Blues, hosted by Steve Spoulos on KRVM in Eugene, Oregon, every day of the week from 7 AM until 11 AM PST. www.kvrm.org.
Dave's Blues Mix with Dave Barker, Sundays on STAR FM, St. Helens, Tasmania, Australia. Dave’s Blues Mix broadcasts on 93.7, 100.3 and 98.5 FM, 1600 hrs to 2100 hrs AE Summer, and streaming on the web at http://www.starfm. org.au/.
This is not news anymore, but I want to express my regret that JOHNNY MAX’s Sunday Night Soul on
AM1430 is off the air. Johnny is pitching the show to other stations, so this may only be temporary. Let’s hope so. Johnny always comes up with a great selection of music for his radio broadcasts.
