TANTRAMARSH BLUES SOCIETY PRESENTS BRYAN LEE BAND - OCT. 17

Just a quick reminder that Bryan Lee will be playing New Orleans blues for us on Saturday, Oct. 17th, at 9 PM, at George's Roadhouse in Sackville, NB. Tickets are $10 in advance (at Ducky's) and $12 at the door. The special student price at the door (ID required) is $6.

We are very grateful to our sponsors for helping keep our prices the same as last year. We are also very happy to announce that our very own singer-songwriter, Janet Crawford, will launch her new CD, Matter of Time, at Live Bait Theatre in Sackville on Sunday afternoon, October 18, beginning at 3 pm, featuring live music from the CD. Admission is free and CDs will be available. The CD consists of 10 original songs, all based on the poetry of Canadian poet Douglas Lochhead, written by Crawford and Rocky Ripley, the co-producer of this project. For more information or to purchase a CD on-line, please visit the web site at: www.janetcrawford.ca or by contacting music@janetcrawford.ca or by phone at 506-536-9000.

We are sorry to announce that the tentative show with E C Scott has been canceled because of scheduling conflicts. We are happy to announce, though, that in her stead, we will be bringing in Chicago's Mississippi Heat, which showcases the powerhouse vocals of Inetta Visor and the brilliant harmonica of band leader Pierre Lacocque. The show will take place on the same date and time as originally planned for the E C Scott show: Saturday, Nov. 7 at 9 PM. For more on the band, please visit: http://www.mississippiheat.net/

Don’t forget to mark your calendar about the monthly TBS blues jam, starting on Sunday, the 25th of October, 3-7 PM, at George's Roadhouse. The Streamliners will be the house band, and we invite you to bring an instrument to be a part of the festivities...the idea is to get together as a community of blues lovers and share good music together (even if you don't play)...the jams are free and open to all. We hope to see lots of you there...

Regards,

The TBS Team
