A Grand Lady of the Blues brings to a close
this 10th edition of Viree Blues Boreale

Another high profile edition of Virée Blues Boreale comes to a close. As did this whole season, this show will appeal to most. Our last guest is positively one of the most requested artists by our Blues fans, since the very first edition. And with some reason! This Grand Lady of the Blues has built up a 22 year international career in Quebec, Mexico, Japan and Morocco. She’s unanimously known as one of Quebec’s top Blueswomen. So, Virée Blues Boreale’s management thought of presenting you this artist often compared to Janis Joplin and to Melissa Etheridge, to kik-start the festive period on a hign note.

A Blues stream constantly flows through Angel Forrest’s life and music. After a two albums’ foray in pop music, Angel Forrest came back strong to the Blues, for her sixth album and with a complete show presenting her own compositions. Electrifying, passionate, an artist who sings with all her body and soul; Unique. More entrancing than ever, everybody is attracted toward Angel Forrest’s charisma. She sings; her songs charm everyone; they’ve got a Blues Roots aroma, heavy with emotions ... her own way! Thrill to the warm lounge atmosphere of her all new show, in an acoustic version, where she’ll offer you her new album’s songs and some “never heard before” song versions. She’ll be joined as usual by Rob MacDonald, her long time guitarist and partner who will provide the perfect Blues Roots surround atmosphere sound.

It might also happen that Angel’s fans as well as those who don’t yet know her could find out in advance what Viree Blues Boreale plans to present in it’s next edition. There could also be some surprises and gifts along the way! As lively as she was when she began singing, Angel Forrest will be presenting us her sixth album which she plans to launch in March 2010. She will also be presenting her previous album, “Wonderland” which she recorded in 2007, to help us get into a festive mood, all in Blues and Jazz, at Viree Blues Boreale, on December 2, 2009, at 8h00 p.m., at Addiction, 117 Promenade du Portage in the Old Hull sector.
