VOTING IN THE MAPLE BLUES AWARDS ENDS DECEMBER 13

This week is your last chance to vote in the Maple Blues Awards, folks. So if you have not already done so please go to www.mapleblues.ca before December 13. Voting is online and only takes a few minutes.

JULIAN FAUTH is nominated in two categories, Acoustic Act of the Year and Piano/Keyboard Player of the Year. As well, HARRISON KENNEDY has been nominated in four categories: Recording of the Year, Songwriter of the Year, Male Vocalist of the Year and Acoustic Act of the Year.

FUNDRAISER TO SEND JULIAN FAUTH AND HARRISON KENNEDY TO THE INTERNATIONAL BLUES CHALLENGE

On Saturday, January 9, we will be holding a fundraising party in Toronto to help send JULIAN FAUTH and HARRISON KENNEDY to the International Blues Challenge in Memphis. The guys will be in Memphis from January 20 to 24. They will both be performing in the solo category, so talk about a tough choice! No kidding, they will blow the audiences and judges away in Memphis.

This is not a paying gig, though, and all artists are responsible for their own travel, hotel and meal costs. The Grand River Blues Society has pledged a generous grant to Julian and the Welland Canal Bank Blues Society has done likewise for Harrison. But the guys will need some extra funds to make it happen.

The Toronto fundraiser will be held at Axis Gallery and Grill, 3048 Dundas Street West in Toronto’s west end. Both JULIAN FAUTH and HARRISON KENNEDY will perform along with some special guests. The cover charge is $10 to see these outstanding musicians perform and to help defray their expenses.

A poster is attached to this email for those on the dedicated distribution list. Please circulate this poster to all your friends and encourage them to come out on January 9 to support Julian and Harrison.

Those people on the posts who want this poster, please contact me directly.
