DAYTIME BLUES - NRS @ GRAPE & WINE FESTIVAL (ST. KITTS, ON) - SEPT. 30

Hi!

For all our friends that say they're in bed on Saturday nights by 10 p.m., now's your chance to catch the band during the day and in a wonderful setting. No excuses this time! Great vibes, great wines and great food. What more could you ask for?

On Sunday...

What: The Niagara Rhythm Section (Goldberger, Grisbrook, Norris, MacKay & Keldie)

Where: Niagara Grape & Wine Festival
Montebello Park, St. Catharines
www.niagarawinefestival.com

When: Sunday September 30th - 3 pm - Free!

And on Saturday...

What: Niagara Rhythm Section's Saturday Night "MUSICAL IMPROV" Series

This week's featured guest: SAT. SEPT. 29 - JOHN DICKIE

Where: The Anchorage, 186 Ricardo St. - Niagara-on-the-Lake, 905-468-2141

When: Every Saturday night - 10:00 pm - 12:30 am - no cover

This Sat., Sept. 29, we welcome back John Dickie (of The Mississippi Hippies). He's a very interesting and unique singer. He also plays a million instruments and we never know what he's going to bring. Here's what it says on his website:

Name: John 'Little Johnnie' Dickie

Astrological Sign: cancer- 'cancer shmancer, as long as you've got your health.'

Instruments: played - lead vocal, which is like lead guitar, only it's like vocals, also guitar,
mandolin, harmonica and piano.

Past musical Tribes: John and the Sisters (which is also a current tribe), The Prima Donnas, The Cameos, Mondo Combo and Piledriver, back in the '70s.

Hallmark musical moment: sharing stages with all the greats over the years, like Albert Collins, Levon Helm, Garth Hudson, Dr. John, Holly Cole, n' The Neville Bros. Also interviewing people like Oscar Peterson and Buddy Guy on all-night talk radio and never having to compromise my deal...musically.

First Became A Hippie: the first time I heard the legendary Buffalo New York DJ George 'Hound Dog' Lorenz broadcasting his R 'n' B show live from the Bon Ton in Buffalo, all those fuzzy years ago.

Coming this fall:

"Live @ the Ank" - a live CD compilation recording of the NRS and our various guests over the last 3 years.

Other upcoming dates of note:

Friday, Oct 19th - NRS with Cleveland Fats @ the Canal Bank Shuffle, Thorold
