HAMILTON'S TRICKBAG RELEASES NEW CD, TRICKNOLOGY!

TRICKNOLOGY - TRICKBAG

Hamilton’s premier roots and blues band, TRICKBAG, has just released their third CD, titled TRICKNOLOGY. The much anticipated follow up to 1995's CACTI REDUX offers fourteen original songs and a cover of Doc Pomus/Dr. John’s "I Never Fool Nobody But Myself". The songs are a reflection of TRICKBAG’S various influences - Chicago blues, New Orleans R&B, TexMex and Memphis string band tradition, all in a melting pot called "TRICKNOLOGY". To date this is perhaps the truest representation of the band released on disc.

Recorded at CHATHAM GARDEN STUDIOS with MICHAEL BIRTHELMER, the album features DENIS KELDIE on organ, piano and accordion. Rounding out the keyboard department is JESSE O’BRIEN - a TRICKBAG mainstay since the first album in 1995.

TRICKBAG will be holding their CD RELEASE at THE CORKTOWN (175 Young St.) in Hamilton, Ontario, on Saturday, September 20, at 9 PM. Joining them will be DENIS KELDIE.
