GEORGE OLLIVER & GANGBUSTER @ DOBRO (PETERBOROUGH, ON) - MAR. 20

(George Olliver - Durham's "Best Vocalist of the Year - 2007")
George Olliver & Gangbuster play Dobro in Peterborough, ON, on Thurs., Mar. 20, from 9 p.m.- 1 a.m. This will be the 1st performance with his band in this area in 8 years, and the boys are really looking forward to it.
George had a blast at this club about 4 weeks ago in a bluesfest fundraiser, which was electric, jamming with Howard Ross, with his good friend and former Bluenoter Buzz Thompson (also of The Band and The Honeydrippers), along with soulful Bobby Watson (three great guitar players), managed to blow the roof off the place.
George was bumping into folks and fans he hadn't seen in quite a few years, reminiscing about memories of The Mandala, Natural Gas, George's Club Bluenote affair and most recently his new gospel/soul band, Caught Away, which may be performing at Peterborough's "Festival of Lights" this summer.
Don't miss this one. George will have the all-star version of his band, featuring Paul Delong on drums (currently performing with David Clayton Thomas (of Blood Sweat and Tears). Special guests will be dropping in to jam.
See you Thurs., Mar. 20, at:
DOBRO RESTAURANT & BAR
287/289 George St. N. (between Charlotte & King Streets)

God Bless,
