What do you get when you add four ladies, one pair of cat eye glasses, East Vancouver, a crate of old records and a minivan named "Maple Syrup"? A rock 'n' roll cocktail of one part retro pop, and one part attitude, and one of the latest bands to sign to Mint Records: Vancougar.
The Vancouver band will be taking to the road in support of their newest release, Canadian Tuxedo, and playing Ottawa on October 21st at Bytown Tavern. They'll also be making an appearance at the CMJ Music Marathon on October 24th before playing their way across the States, ending in Seattle, WA.
Check out their single, "Obvious", to get a sneak peek at the 60's-girl-group-gone-garage-rock sound you'll get to witness live.
Vancougar is Eden Fineday, Becca Stewart, Megan Johnson and CC Rose (The Pink Mountaintops, The Cinch).
They just released Canadian Tuxedo this summer, which was recorded at JC/DC Studios (New Pornographers, Tegan and Sara, Bella).
