"A GRÁDA CHRISTMAS FROM IRELAND" @ THE EGG (ALBANY, NY) - DEC. 10

"A Gráda Christmas from Ireland" comes to The Egg in Albany from sold-out European venues.

Albany 's premier holiday show stars Ireland 's acclaimed young band, Gráda, featuring "Lord of the Rings" flute soloist Alan Doherty.

Gráda, Ireland's celebrated young all-star band acclaimed by music critics here in America and in Europe, will fly into Albany on Monday, December 10, and bring a stunning "A Gráda Christmas from Ireland" musical and dance concert to The Egg at the Empire State Plaza at 7:30 p.m.

"A Gráda Christmas from from Ireland" is a benefit concert for the Irish American Heritage Museum. Tickets are a $20 donation, or an early-bird donation of $18 by November 30.

Museum members also enjoy a 10% one-time, any-time discount. All seats are reserved, only through the Museum, by calling (518) 432-6598 or by visiting the Museum's Administrative Offices on the first floor of 991 Broadway (The Arnoff Building with the RCA dog, "Nipper", on top), in Albany.

"If this talented group appears anywhere within 100 miles of you, hie thee hence", proclaimed America 's Sing Out magazine. The Irish Times describes Gráda as "Irish Music with enough steam in its heels to leave most of its peers at the starting blocks."

"A Gráda Christmas from Ireland" has sold out venues across Ireland and Europe during the past three holiday seasons. Gráda integrates audience participation into its seasonally themed
show, including awarding copies of its new CD and DVD, Cloudy Day Navigation, to audience members who wear the most festive hats to The Egg show.

Gráda features Lord of the Rings lead flute soloist Alan Doherty, Colin Farrell playing fiddle and whistles, Nicola Joyce singing and playing bodhrán, guitar, whistle and fiddle, Andrew Lake on double bass, and Gerry Paul on guitar.

For its special Christmas concert, Gráda brings with it two celebrated guests: Matt Mancuzo on trumpet and fiddle and Kristin Andreasson, award winning multi-instrumentalist dancer.
