LITTLE MISS HIGGINS MAKES PENGUIN EGG'S TOP-10 CDs


In its annual poll of 50 journalists, radio hosts, folk festival and folk club artistic directors, label owners and specialty record shop employees, Penguin Eggs magazine voted Raising Sand, by Robert Plant & Alison Krauss, as "Album of the Year". It came out handily on top.

Each juror was asked for their Top-10 folk, roots or world music albums released in Canada in 2007 along with their favourite three new discoveries from last year. There are three artists tied for first place in the New Discoveries categories. Here are the results:
