This week's featured guest: SAT. MARCH 1 - GAYLE ACKROYD & ED KOPALA
The Anchorage, 186 Ricardo St. Niagara-on-the-Lake, ON, 905-468-2141
Every Saturday night 9:30 pm - no cover
This week we welcome the long awaited return of our good buddies, Gayle & Ed. Gayle's a talented songwriter and accomplished singer and guitarist. Her music, which encompasses blues, country, folk, zydeco, southern soul, and rock 'n 'roll influences, has established Gayle as one of the most compelling artists on the Canadian roots music scene.
Ed's an amazing guitarist and really good pal.
It's hard to believe we've now been playing at the Anchorage every Saturday night since November 2003. Over four years. Yikes! Two of our very first guests were Gayle and Ed, and we're always very pleased to welcome them back.
Here's what Toronto keyboard player Michael Stevenson says about Gayle:
"A voice as pure as the driven snow and as sweet as honey...heartfelt songs of passion and hope that virtually everyone will relate to...guitar playing that ties them both together and makes them shine...a truly charming and captivating live presence."
