12th Annual International Hispanic Awards - International Event in Rancho Mirage, CA
This year's International Hispanic Awards is capping off its 12th year presentation of the coveted "SOL AZTECA" with 17 honorees. The new Agua Caliente Resort in Rancho Mirage, California, is the location for this black tie affair, on Saturday, April 19, 2008, starting at 6:00 p.m.

The International Hispanic Awards will be the first international event held at this new $300 million dollar hotel. Award recipients honorees represent very diverse backgrounds. Award recipients are being recognized for their contributions to the Hispanic community in philanthropy, public service, communications, humanitarian efforts, business, education, law enforcement, community service organizations and exemplary representation of the Hispanic culture.
Honorees represent very diverse backgrounds, once again proving that deeds are the key factor for receiving the "SOL AZTECA" award. This year's recipients represent several cultures from many walks of life. The Native American culture is also represented.
The event was founded by Ana Rascon Vasquez, Publisher of La Prensa Hispana newspaper and is produced annually by Hispanic Image Marketing Network CEO Al Vasquez. This year's sponsors include the Agua Caliente Band of Cahuilla Indians, the City of Indio, the City of Coachella, the Hispanic Chamber of Commerce-Coachella Valley, Congresswoman Mary Bono Mack, Senator Jim Battin, Assemblywoman Bonnie Garcia, and Desert Traditions Magazine. Entertainment by Jarocho Kings de Ricardo Vasquez, an award-winning trio.
