Every Saturday night - 9:30ish - no cover

This week's featured guests: SAT. APRIL 12TH

MARTIN ALEX AUCOIN & PAUL MARTIN and a special guest set by PETER J. SLACK

This week we welcome back Martin Alex Aucoin and Paul Martin. These guys have serious credentials.

Martin Alex Aucoin is an accomplished pianist and vocalist, composer, arranger and producer, who has made his living for years as a side and session man in places like Nashville and Toronto. A man of many musical interests, he is quick to give Kris Kristofferson as much credit as Duke Ellington when it comes to pointing fingers at a main musical influence and he’s been willing to throw the Beatles, Ray Charles and his Acadian heritage in there, as well. Martin Alex was born in Cheticamp and, like so many from the '60s and '70s, got his start as a member of The Phantoms, that ageless musical institution (led by the LeLievere brothers) who have been filling halls and dance floors in that area for 40 years. Like so many others, Martin Alex went down the road, absorbing music as he went. He's got a new CD titled, So Far. Check it out at:

"Man, he can outright play" is what you hear about Martin Aucoin. He doesn’t just play, he lets you hear what he’s saying. Martin has played keyboards in numerous bands around Toronto, including Johnny Max, Morgan Davis, and Jack DeKeyzer, before moving to Nashville in 1990.
He then toured with BJ Thomas for a year and a half. He also played on recording sessions for George Strait, Garth Brooks, Confederate Railroad, and John Michael Montgomery. He has played live with Larry Carlton, Tony Joe White, Bo Diddley, Ricky Van Shelton, Alan Jackson,
Alex Harvey, the Drifters, Mark O'Connor, as well as having a 4 year gig at the Grand Ole Opry with Jimmy C. Newman, the great Cajun singer. Despite all that, he's a real down to earth guy and we had a ball every time he's here.

Paul Martin is also going to be here with us on Saturday. Known for his work in the The Blushing Brides and the Dylan Tree (both of which bands include Goddo drummer Doug Inglis, as well), he's been in numerous bands over the years. He always wows us with his superb guitar playing, great singing and a huge library of classic rock tunes you forgot you ever knew. [He's also a terrific visual artist - D.D.]

As an added bonus, doing a guest set in between our shows will be our old pal, Peter J. Slack. You might remember him, as he used to be a frequent guest with us and Bruce Jones. He'll be doing an acoustic set in between our shows. He's got some great tunes and he's an amazing guitar player!

This should be another great night. Please join us.
