ELECTRICAL HOBBYHORSE DEBUTS IN APRIL
Hobbyhorse is excited to be debuting our fully electric band this month with bassist Larry Weissenborn and drummer Kelly Child. We have been rehearsing together for a few months and will be playing our first 3 shows in April. Hobbyhorse songs take on a new life when they are played as electric rock and we think you will find it as exciting as we do. Come see us at:

HOBBYHORSE'S TRIBUTE TO MOTORHEAD
Last year, an improbable chain of circumstances led to Phil getting an email from the head of the worldwide Motorhead fan club. If you don't know Motorhead, they were very influential pioneers of speed-metal and thrash-metal music, dating back to the 1970s.
The result of this correspondence is that Hobbyhorse has a track on the newly released Motorhead tribute CD, Sheep In Wolves' Clothing. We chose to cover "Orgasmatron" - a song that fits nicely into our mythological theme, being about the god, Mars. Our version is dark and psychedelic, and we are happy and proud of it. Phil also produced "Damage Case", performed by Lissy Abraham, for the same CD.

HOBBYHORSE AND NEIL YOUNG SING FOR PEACE
Neil Young is using his website to promote peace and Hobbyhorse is there with him. In particular, Neil has set up a page of links to 2,570 songs (at last count) in support of peace. Hobbyhorse is proud to be listed, currently at number 174 of 2570, with our pro-peace song, "Better Road", from our CD, Break in the Clouds.
Click here to go to Neil's song page and then click again on "Better Road - Hobbyhorse" (at position number 174) to listen. Every click-through helps our ranking and spreads a positive message for peace. Feel free to click often!
Hobbyhorse has never previously posted "Better Road", so unless you have our CD, you probably haven't heard it before.
LAST CHANCE FOR "SUNSHINE SUPERMAN"
Last May, HobbyhorseCafe.com posted our cover of Donovan's "Sunshine Superman". It proved to be quite popular and generated a lot of visits to the website. Our limited license to include "Sunshine Superman" on Hobbyhorse Cafe expires this year, on May 1st. After May 1st, it will go away, never to be re-posted. If you haven't heard our version of "Sunshine Superman", or if you want one last listen before it disappears - better click here while you still can.
