TRUE NORTH ARTIST BRUCE COCKBURN TO PARTICIPATE IN PETE SEEGER’S 90th BIRTHDAY CELEBRATION AT MADISON SQUARE GARDEN

Toronto, ON – On Sunday, May 3rd, True North Records' Bruce Cockburn will be celebrating Pete Seeger’s 90th birthday with a Sing-Along Concert at Madison Square Gardens. Other artists performing include Bruce Springsteen, Dave Matthews, John Mellencamp, and Eddie Vedder.

All proceeds from this celebration will be given to the Hudson River Sloop Clearwater, a non-profit organization dedicated to creating the next generation of environmental leaders that Mr. Seeger began in 1966.

Due March 31 on True North Records, Bruce Cockburn’s forthcoming album, Slice O Life – Live Solo - will be the critically acclaimed singer-songwriter and respected music activist’s first-ever live, solo album. Slice O Life, Cockburn’s 30th album, showcases his brilliant acoustic guitar playing in a live setting.

The album features 25 tracks, including the new song, “The City Is Hungry”, and three tracks recorded at a soundcheck along the tour. The album also features such hits as “Lovers in a Dangerous Time”, “Wondering Where the Lions Are”, “If I Had a Rocket Launcher”, and “Last Night of the World.”
