True North Records Signs Madison Violet

Toronto, ON—True North Records, Canada’s leading independent record label, is proud to announce the signing of pop-folk duo Madison Violet. Their newest recording, No Fool For Tryin, is set for release on June 2 and is a welcome addition to the True North catalogue.

Comprised of Brenley MacEachern and Lisa MacIsaac, Madison Violet have released two recordings with producer John Reynolds (Sinead O'Connor, U2, Damien Dempsey). Their first release, Worry The Jury, garnered a handful of ECMA award nominations, including 'Best New Group' and 'Pop Album of the Year'.

Caravan, their sophomore release, went towards a more alt-country direction, which garnered them 2 ECMA awards nominations in the 'Folk album of the Year' and 'Best Group Recording' categories, as well as a Canadian Folk Award nomination as 'Vocal Group of the Year'.
