MOHAWK COLLEGE FACULTY/ALUMNI BIG BAND STEPPIN' OUT - MAR. 14 & 28
The Music Program at Mohawk College is pleased to announce the first public performance of the Mohawk College Faculty/Alumni Big Band. The band features Mohawk's music faculty and notable alumni, including drummer Kevin Dempsey (‘83), vocalist John Neudorf (‘89), trombonists Rob Somerville (‘88) and Ted Bohn (‘85), and two long time NYC residents saxophonists, Mike Filice ('89) and Candid recording artist Sheila Cooper ('85).
The band will perform music by Canadian Jazz composers, faculty and students and includes classic works from the bands of Basie, Ellington, Woody Herman, Maynard Ferguson, and others.
