Toronto's ANDREA RAMOLO returns to St. John's, NL, on a 78+ venue cross-Canada tour.

The name, Andrea Ramolo, may ring a bell to those in St John's, NL. Rightly so; it was just over a month ago that she passed through to play a string of venues before stretching across the entire Canadian west.
She then began work on a cross-Canada tour that — by the time it ends this September — will have taken her from Toronto to the Yukon and then through the Prairies, Quebec, the Maritimes and to Newfoundland and Labrador. Not only is her voice and lyricism refreshing, but she managed to book every single one of the 78 dates herself, setting off in her trusty van with her bass player, Jason Skiendziel.
Why would someone put themselves through such labor? Well, it’s all in support of her latest album, Thank You for the Ride - a collection of a dozen songs in which listeners can see their own lives and loves, successes and losses. Vocally, Andrea can happily be compared to Janis Joplin, a tougher Dolly Parton, or even Canada’s own Serena Ryder — but she has a unique sound that’s all her own.
Finding time to discover Andrea Ramolo — now, rather than later when she’s broken through — is well worth the effort. You don’t find this kind of musical honesty very often.
