BLOG ENTRY FROM D.D. ROCKER - JULY 9
Relaxing momentarily after a volunteer stint with the Ottawa Blues Society at the Cisco Ottawa Bluesfest, where I heard an incredible concert performance by Jeff Beck!
Listen in to CKCU 93.1 FM later today (Thurs., July 9), from 4-6 p.m. EST, when I'll be filling in for Janice Lockwood and then on "Guest List" (normally hosted by Joe Reilly). Sometime during those two hours, there will be a special in-studio guest musician from Canada's West Coast, but in the meantime, you'll be hearing a great deal of my favourite Canadian (and some American) blues musicians.
Effective immediately, there will no postings on this blog until after July 21, as I'm embarking on a 10-day trip to Seattle, WA, to check out the blues and rock scene there! Thank you to all of you who have sent in their arts-related news items from North America and elsewhere around the globe!
