| This season starts off with the mighty MIKE GOUDREAU BAND www.mikegoudreau.com from Quebec’s Eastern Townships on Friday, OCTOBER 16. (There is also a chance of a second Show on Saturday the 17th depending on advance ticket sales so if you want that to happen – book now!) I have been a major fan of Mike Goudreau since I first saw him and his BOPPIN’ BLUES BAND play in the early ‘90’s. This band plays boppin’, swingin’, dancin’ joie de vivre blues as good as it gets. (He also plays jazz and rock equally well but for this Show it will be all blues). He is an excellent guitarist, singer, band leader, arranger and songwriter (in both official languages). Like so many other talented Canadian blues artists though he is better known in other parts of the world than he is in his own country. Many of his songs have been selected by a Los Angeles library that provides music for film and TV and many have already played on shows like “Everybody Hates Chris” and “Dirty, Sexy Money”. Mike and his band play major festivals and clubs throughout Quebec on a regular basis but he doesn’t venture outside the province that often so take advantage of this rare chance to see him when he’s here. The band consists of Mike on lead vocals and guitar, Gary Goodsell on bass & vocals, Alain Blanchet on drums, Kaven Jalbert on tenor sax and Nino Fabbi on keyboards.
