UK BLUES-ROCKER AYNSLEY LISTER RELEASES EQUILIBRIUM CD
Europe's Fastest Rising Blues/Rock Recording Artist
Europe's Fastest Rising Blues/Rock Recording Artist Classic Rock Magazine, in a recent issue, recommended 10 blues/rock artists capable of taking this genre of music to the highest level. Among those suggested were The White Stripes, John Mayer, Jonny Lang & Joe Bonasmasa.
The only British or European act in their top ten was
...Then in their July 15, 2009 issue,
Classic Rock Magazine went on to name EQUILIBRIUM one of
"The 50 Greatest Albums Of The Year (so far)"!
EQUILIBRIUM justifies Aynsley Lister’s position as a leading light in the rock/blues arena. Aynsley is one of very few artists playing rocking blues with a modern edge - tangible, heartfelt, soul searching and full of fine songwriting; played with passion, vitality and simply stunning guitar work-reminiscent of a young Clapton.
Aynsley's skill as a songer/songwriter is equally impressive. On EQUILIBRIUM he penned 11 of the 12 songs. And as EQUILIBRIUM is Aynsley's 9th album, his song writing talent is now that of a seasoned veteran. So while his style varies from blues to rock and bck again, his writing is always honest and impressionable.
EQUILIBRIUM was produced by Steve Darrel Smith and features appearances by Robbie McIntosh (John Mayer band) and also heralds a new direction for Aynsley.

Bio of Aynsley Lister
Aynsley picked up the guitar at 8 and played his first gig at 13. One year later, on a family trip to San Francisco, he was jamming at ‘Lou’s Bar’ on Pier 49. By the time he was 18, he had worked his way through various bands and decided to form his own. The band recorded two albums and it was the second of these two that started things happening. Aynsley had begun writing and it was the three original numbers of this album that attracted the attention of Ruf Records’ head honcho Thomas Ruf.
This was the start of a long and fruitful career taking Aynsley all over Europe and America, working with some of the top names on the circuit. In the years following the release of his first album.,Aynsley opened for artists such as Buddy Guy, Robert Cray, John Mayall and contemporaries such as Bryan Adams and Fun Lovin Criminals.
Aynsley now headlines many of the major festivals in mainland Europe. He has twice played the Heitere Open Air in Switzerland to 12,000 people and 2006 saw him play the main stage at The Bayfront Blues Festival, MN.
In June of 2008 Aynsley signed to Manhaton Records and EQUILIBRIUM was released in March 2009 in Europe , and September 2, 2009 in the USA.
EQUILIBRIUM is Aynsley's 9th release in Europe, and his 4th in the USA market.
September 2006 saw the US debut release of his 2000 album EVERYTHING I NEED, produced by Greg Haver (Manic Street Preachers, Catatonia). This was followed by ALL OR NOTHING, and then in 2007 the self produced UPSIDE DOWN. All three of these records were released in the USA on Ruf Records.
