 VizzTone label group/R-Tist Records is proud to announce the release of guitarist/singer/songwriter Shane Dwight's twin new national debut releases, GIMME BACK MY MONEY and PLAYS THE BLUES on JUNE 23, 2009. Northern California native, now Nashville-based, Shane Dwight is a young American Roots Music artist for the 21st century – a killer blues player who can rock the house all night long with the best of them, and an introspective singer-songwriter whose voice rings true at alt-country, Americana, R&B, and flat-out Rock N Roll. Shane’s talent is so fierce and his inspiration so strong that his music draws in equal measure from classic blues and urban R&B, from alt-country and modern rock without compromising his integrity or missing a beat. GIMME BACK MY MONEY gives a broad picture of the many musical facets of Shane Dwight. Produced by Dwight, Robby Z and Richard Rosenblatt, GIMME BACK MY MONEY features twelve original songs covering a wide spectrum of Dwight's stylistic range. Starting with "Last Call", a hard-rocking remembrance of a lost love, Dwight takes us through the alt-country Americana sounds of the all-too-timely "Gimme Back My Money", "Have a Good Time", and "Don’t Think Twice"; the powerful urban R&B of "Good Life" and "Done With You", the blues of "You’re Gonna Want Me" and "Ode to Albert"; the infectiouspop-rock of "Break My Heart Anyway", and a few… well, YOU decide what to call them! Special guests on this CD include Danny Hull (Doobie Brothers), and Mic Gilette (Tower of Power), with additional production assistance by Brad Gillis of NightRanger. Shane Dwight PLAYS THE BLUES features ten original blues songs, the kind of high-octane performances that have made Shane a standout hit at countless festivals and clubs across the US and Europe. Half of the tracks are live recordings, showing exactly what drives his legions of fans crazy night after night. Studio tracks show Shane to be a soulful blues singer, songwriter and guitarist of the highest order. Guest musicians on this CD include Bob Margolin (Muddy Waters Blues Band) and Richard Rosenblatt. Shane Dwight cut his teeth on the rough and tumble East Side of San Jose California, where his natural talents were influenced by the neighborhood’s diverse musical undercurrents. In 2002 he easily won the Monterey Blues Festival Battle of the Bands. Since that time Shane has released several self-produced CDs (selling over 40,000 copies) and kept up a hectic schedule, appearing at countless clubs and festival Main Stages including Florida’s “Springing the Blues” Festival, Beale Street Music Festival, Monterey Blues Festival, the Portland Waterfront Blues Festival, the San Diego Blues Festival, and many more; Shane’s energetic performances and charismatic appeal have made him a repeat performer on the Legendary Rhythm and Blues Cruises; Shane has appeared twice as a featured guest on Elwood Blues’ House of Blues Radio Hour, and received airplay on hundreds of radio stations worldwide. Recently, Shane moved to Nashville, Tennessee and signed with the prestigious Intrepid Artists International booking agency.
